The business center at 333 Podbi, Hanover was named after its location on Podbielski Street, which in turn was named after General Victor von Podbielski. It is one of the main routes through the city, providing easy access to highways and public transportation, as well as to the famous Hanover Fairgrounds. Many of the world's largest trade shows are held here, including CeBIT, the leading IT and telecom trade show. The business center is located in a modern building built in 1999, with a staffed reception desk in the entrance hall to welcome guests, and its own cafeteria. Hanover is an important service center that attracts many international companies - in addition to the traditional automotive and engineering industries. The city is an important rail and road transportation hub, where major European roads running from east to west meet those running from north to south.
