Buckhead is situated within Georgia’s second wealthiest zip code (First place goes to Sea Island). The area is known for its affluence as well as a plethora of high-end shopping & dining options. Home to Lenox Square Mall, Phipps Plaza and The Shops at Buckhead, the area serves as a Mecca for the South’s fashion aficionados.

What does the Central Perimeter have to offer?
The Central Perimeter submarket is Atlanta’s largest office market and serves as the first layer of the city’s suburban office. It straddles I-285, or the perimeter, and is therefore both ITP & OTP (inside/outside the perimeter). It offers rental rates much lower than Midtown or Buckhead, with more affordable housing as well.
This area is known for a more middle-aged workforce and has a slightly more difficult time attracting millennials and young talent than its in-town neighbors. It lacks the amenity-rich environment this portion of the labor force is looking for. That being said, the area is home to a vast number of corporate headquarters; one of the highest ratios of Fortune 500 companies per capita in the US. The Cumberland/Galleria submarket is located in the Northwest corridor of Atlanta. The Atlanta Braves’ recent move into Cumberland has served as a major economic driver for the area, from an office, multifamily and retail standpoint. SunTrust Park and The Battery continue to have a profound positive impact on Cobb County and Atlanta as a whole.
